Hype Thread: Crackdown 2

I mentioned before how Crackdown 1 isn't good. It's very fun, and geared to being fun, but it's not well done, and part of how it's not well done adds to how fun it is. I don't know how much time I spent in Crackdown looking at glitch videos and performing them myself. In fact, some of those came in handy for doing missions in the game, which was cool.

So far, Crackdown 2 is the same. The demo's all I've played, except for a bit of competitive multiplayer at PAX East. You can still jump around and get orbs, only there are more orbs. You can shoot a bunch of dudes, only this time with more weapons. You can abuse physics, only this time with more gadgets. And you can do all of this with more people - three other people, to be exact.

The demo came with an exploit to get infinite time in the demo, where it normally locks you to thirty minutes. This makes it extremely easy to see all the features the game has to offer, as you can level up super fast in this demo. Similarly it makes the achievements easier to get. Yes, it has achievements, and they only open up when the came comes out. Rad, huh? Some of us have a 100 point head start on everyone else.

Definitely going to pick this game up when it comes out on July 6th, even though I have jury duty that day. Bummer!

The trick is to say that you're prejudice against all races.
